SL150 Mixed Environment (LTO GEN6 and LTO GEN7)

We are having issues with LTO Gen7 drives consistently reading LTO Gen 6 tapes. We are using OKM. The Gen 6 drives are directly connected to the OKM servers the the Gen7 drives are connected via the SL150 OKM interface. Gen7 drives frequently are unable to read the label on the tape and eventually time out and fail to position. There doesn't appear to be a specific reason for this occurrence and it doesn't happen all the time. However; it happens enough that we experiencing significant delay time and failures for retrievals.
