OEM to monitor older database versions

I am tasked with supporting two very old databases. One is 9.2.0.6 and the other is 8.1.7. (Please don't suggest that we should upgrade. I already know that. For reasons beyond my control, the business will not approve of that at this time.)

I've been asked to look into the possibility of monitoring them for performance issues using OEM.

First, is that possible?
Second, is there an OEM that will run under 9i, or does it need to be some other version? If it needs to be a different version, which would be the best choice for this situation?
