Dashboard - Ability to filter the drop-down positions

Does anyone know if there is the ability to filter the drop-down positions to a subset of what is contained in the dashboard workspace?

Use case: I have a Dashboard that has metrics specific to catalogs. Catalogs are positions in the location hierarchy. Besides catalog positions, I also have B&M and Online positions.

I would like to prevent the Online and B&M positions to even show up in the Drop-Down for Location since the Catalog specific measures will always be empty for them.

Is that possible?

When I go to the underlying spreadsheet, position queries work. But in the Dashboard itself, I don't see them at work.
