APEX 21.1.2 - 3 Tier Master-Detail Form with navigation issues

APEX 21.1.2

I have created a form with 3 interactive grids that form a 3 tier master-detail relationship (manually not via wizard). I select an entry in the 1st grid which displays detail records in the 2nd grid and then clicking on one of the records in the 2nd grid shows further detail records in the 3rd grid. This works fine but for one issue.

When I click on a record in the second grid the screen jumps back to focus on the matching parent record in the first grid and I have to scroll back down. I don’t want this to happen and wish focus to stay on the second grid when I click on an entry.
