How to exlcude or include member in Workflow emails?

Hi All,

In E perfromance , the automated workflow emails generate, the generated emails are also delivering to some employees that were used to be a part of HR and now they are not part of the approval process, I have deleted roles from their user IDs but they are still recievcing the emails regarding the perofmrance appraisals approvals.

Can anybody tell me where I can look and how to stop the workflow to deliever emails on those user IDs?
