How to tax someone from their home address without entering it as a work location

With increasing remote working arrangements, we have many employees whose official work location on their assignment is local, but they are working remotely full-time in another State. In order to tax them correctly, do we have to create a new location for their home address and update their assignment to that location, or is there is an easier way that allows us to tax them only based on their home address instead of their work location?
