How is Catalog used in Supplier Pricing

We have supplier pricing set up but with expanding pricing to additional branch plants we would like to know if using the Catalog would make streamline the setup. I would like some information on how to use Catalog when setting up Supplier Pricing.

I'm looking for a white paper or other detailed setup information.
