SSO for Self-Hosted Clients

in Unifier (MOSC) Question

We are a self-hosted client and looking to install SSO. BUT, we do not want to use userid as the attribute that connects to our Active Directory. User IDs for our users may be different than their network IDs in our company's active directory. Has anyone installed SSO NOT using userid? If so, did it require significant coding, time, etc?
