Form Ext and Dynamic Layout options

Hello,

I have a question about form layouts.

  1. Can you have a form layout and dynamically connect it so the data can populate a field in the grid instead of a field in the form or header of an application.

Before modifying I am trying to create a layout where i can grab the P4210 and another app that has the WO statuses. I am finding this hard because i can't find an app where the dynamic link works. WO Inq. is not working because it populates the Parent WO # and we don't use that. But the ultimate goal is to somehow show the SO and WO statuses on P4021.
