Delegation Framework - Outstanding Submitted Requests

Hello! We implemented Delegation Framework last month for our Expenses module. We are noticing several Delegation requests that are being submitted but are going weeks without being accepted/rejected. Is there any type of follow up sent on outstanding submitted requests that have not yet been responded to? How are companies handling this concern?
