Sales Order Qty reservation should not lost if we change SSD On sales order line

We have requirement to reserve the specific PO supply to specific sales order. In order management we created manual reservation between SO, PO & Item.

Reserve Supply: When we update the PO promise date, sales order SSD is expected to change. But during this process reservations are lost. [i.e in case of drop shipment]

We need reservation should not be lost, though we change SSD On sales order.
