Cant use a standard RDS oracle instance as repository for EM-CC - Need to connect as SYS - Why?

Hi

Im currently setting um a EntMan-CloudControl instance to handle and monitor a dataguard setup made using 2 EC2 instances (master - standby).

Shouldn't the standard master user for a Oracle RDS instance enough to create the tables and required objects for what i could understand that is a simple repository for configuration and events? Why it need to be SYS?

Im looking towards this feature, but it seems that i do need to test throughfully in order to verify if its possible to connect to this shared management instance as SYS, maybe still need some extra work too



Too bad this approach/feature weren't delivered in the beginning of the year. We could have used it for the dataguard setup itself from the beginning
