Odd AME problem

I have an odd issue with AME when calling an approval group. I have a rule that under certain circumstances calls for an approval group instead of a single approver. Intermittently, this process will get an error with the hr_approval_ss.getNextApproverRole function.

ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows. I can go into the Workflow Administrator Web responsibility and perform a retry and it completes successfully every time.

I've searched every where I know of, but I can't find anything on this error as it relates to the specific function the workflow is using. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
