Essbase in 11.2.6: is it supported to update Essbase related components to PSU .046 of 11.1.2.4?

does the Opatch routine - for Essbase / EAS / APS 11.1.2.4.x patch sets - cope with using JDK 1.8.0_251 as installed by EPM 11.2.6 when the patch was actually released for 11.1.2.4 ?

is there a risk that the PSU .046 for Essbase server / EAS server and clients will overwrite the EPM common JDK and environment settings, which are different in 11.2.x, with older ones?
