How to Update An Asset Convention

Hello,

I have many assets that were added with an incorrect convention, and they have been depreciation incorrectly for many years. I need to change the convention, so that the system would recalculate the depr from life-to-date. It has to be done for only one book (I have three books). There is no option for updating a convention thru Mass Transactions, and no option in Cost Adjust/Transfer Asset either. Does anyone know how an asset convention can be updated for one specific book?
