Updating summary amounts for PSI

I am working with a client to get them started using PSI. They haven't been using it until now. They are on 12.1.3, with data going back to Jan-13 (with conversion data loaded into Dec-12).

Through research I have found a recommendation to run the PRC: Refresh Transaction Summary Amounts for the historical data (I presume through Oct-21), and then run PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts for the current period and each period going forward.

I ran PRC: Refresh Transaction Summary Amounts for Dec-12 thru Apr-13, intending to update only the data for the conversion and the first quarter. When comparing balances to what is available in Expenditure Inquiry and Revenue Review, the totals on the report are for the total project amounts, not the totals for the periods specified in the request parameters.
