Patching Packages Introduced with Oracle EE DB

I'm using Oracle 19c on RHEL 7.7. It seems the installation of Oracle 19c EE puts certain packages on the system such as KSH. When we run our vulnerability scanner thereafter it flags over 30 CVEs against these packages. For example, against the KSH version installed with Oracle EE DB RHSA-2020:0568 is flagged.

Q: Is it safe/supported to patch these packages post installation? Might this affect future patching/upgrade of the Oracle DB
