Oracle VSS writer with Acronis

Hi

Orcale 18 is installed on a virtual machine. Now our customer will use the Oracle VSS writer and Acronis to backup the database.

The Oracle VSS writer service logs is defined to log on as "local system". Start/Stop the service manually works without any problems. But the backup with Acronis fails. Running the AcronisVSSDoctor-Tool gives this waring:

Type: Warning

Source: VSS

Message: The value specified in registry (SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\VssAccessControl) has no name. The entry is ignored. It must have a valid username as name, be of type REG_DWORD, and value either '0' or '1'. Value '0' denies the username from running any VSS writer. Value '1' is used to allow it. Operation:  Initializing Writer Context:  Writer Class Id: {26d02976-b909-43ad-af7e-62a4f625e372}  Writer Name: Oracle VSS Writer - xe  Writer Instance Name: xe

Howdy, Stranger!
