Editing ACA Form Data File with Notepad++

This is really a question for other users out there. When I open my form data file in Notepad++ only the first two lines come in and that is all. When I open in Notepad the whole file loads. Am I doing something wrong? Is it because of the release of Notepad++ that I am using. I did see knowledge document that said notepad++ may not edit against the IRS schema. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.
