Masking information before travelling to OCI in real-time

We had a DB in a country where there is not an OCI region.

Customer wants to create an Autonomous DB in OCI. The problem is that the region is outside of the country and it has personal information that must be masked or offuscated.

Can we have a real time datamasking in production envionrment of the data before travelling to oci? We will be using GG to migrate to ADB.

Has anyone deployed a similar architecture?

As far as I now DataMasking is for masking data for non prod environments. I dont know if we can perform a masking of the data in a parallel table in production and extract this information from this table.
