Uncompressed image copies issue

Rolling forward image copies is good but not good enough. It's fast, but it takes too much storage in FRA. Compression is used only for backupsets, not for image copy. One can choose classic level 0 + level 1 incremental backups, they are compressed well. But it takes too much server resources (time, CPU) to create next level 0 backup.

Is there a way to 'recover level 0 compressed backup' instead of 'recover copy of database'?

Or should I take FRA out of ASM to place it into some folder compressed by OS (Windows)?

What strategy is optimal for both speed and space perspective?

Howdy, Stranger!
