How to size up requirement for BDA by using Cluster Utilization Report in Cloudera Manager

I have a customer who with BDA 5.1(with CDH 6.2.1) and they are looking for hardware tech refresh. Hadoop data is stored in HIVE. Would you please help to advise on how to collect BDA/CDH performance metric to sizing? Is there any steps to turn on the performance statistics?
