I want to not show decimals when i scale a number but I want to keep the data for exports

I have created reports within Narrative Reporting and i have scaled the values to be in thousands. I then have hidden the decimal places but I would like to keep the value of the decimals when i export the report to Excel. Is this possible? And if so, how do I do that?
