ASM: a few newby questions

Hello community,

I have a few simple newby questions for ASM used on Windows server:

  • how can I manually create a ASM instance after GI binary only installation?
  • how or do I have at all "register" an existing instance manually in the ASM instance so that the instance knows of the ASM diskgroups?
  • is "ASMCMD CP" copy to ASM diskgroups a proper way to move NTFS datafiles to ASM?
  • what is the ASM listener good for?

I've done a "Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Standalone Server for an Existing Database" (19c) installation and the existing instance was "automatically" able to use the ASM diskgroup I created with the GI installer.
