Canadian EI "Allocate Earnings To Current Period" on PDBA Set-up screen Question

On the PDBA Set-up Screen - Form Exit "Canadian Leg/Reg" in lower left quadrant, under EI Allocation heading, there is an option to toggle the "Allocate Earnings To Current Period". According to (Doc ID 625902.1), when selected it will allocate the Pay Type earnings, hours and EI amounts to the current period (when paid), if it's not selected, the system will allocate the same to when they are earned. Currently the pay types have the box checked (when paid). We process late timecards from previous pay periods in the current pay. As a result, the EI history of allocating "when paid" causes the users to manually calculate the correct EI totals each pay when an ROE needs to be issued because the late time cards are moved to a different period based on the settings.
