Is node VIP required in 19c RAC installation

Hi everyone

I am working on standing up a 2 node 19c RAC database on Centos 7.

I am trying to explain the network requirements to my network admin and there’s been some struggles to get things clarified.

As I believe I understand it, you can configure the cluster using GNS or manually using DNS. If using GNS you assign one static IP and GNS will assign IPs via dhcp for the SCAN and node VIP IPs. If going the manual route you need minimum of 3 IPs for SCAN and a node VIP unique to each node. I have not touched RAC since 10 therefore these changes are a bit new for me.
