is there any risk to running a rac cluster with 2 different kspliced kernel revisions
Afternoon Team,
we have a rac cluster running a 12.1.0.2 DB instance.
I have patched the standby to OEL 6.10 from 6.9 and applied the ksplice to the kernel
kspliced kernel revision on standby is at 4.1.12-124.35.4.el6uek.x86_64
and on the master vm we have the kspliced kernel at 4.1.12-124.15.1.el6uek.x86_64
I was unable to get the full ksplice on the master due to too many oracle processes using the kernel.
I have suggested to the DBA's that we need to fail over to the standby in order for me to apply the ksplice to the master, but they are unsure when they can do this.
