Can we Upgrade EBS database to 19c on two separate steps

Dear All,

On test instance we upgraded EBS 12.1.3 database from 11gR2 to 19c.

Following documents:

Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 with Oracle Database 19c (Doc ID 2580629.1) and

Oracle 19c - Complete Checklist for Upgrading to Oracle Database 19c (19.x) using DBUA (Doc ID 2545064.1).

In order to estimate total upgrade time, we did this upgrade on test instance twice; estimated downtime is not accepted.

Anyhow, I can understand from (Doc ID 2580629.1) that we can complete first two parts of Section 2.Upgrading an Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 Database to Oracle Database 19c:

2.1 Before the Database Installation

2.2 Database Installation

while application is up and running.
