Can no longer log into the system.

Solaris 11.4 x86 virtual platform on VMware. After updating to a recent patch update, I could log on the console and via PuTTY, as well as WinSCP with no difficulty multiple times after reboots etc. I had changed my password at around the same time, and as stated above it logged in with no issues after reboots and so on. I left the machine running for about a month while I worked on other projects. Today I tried logging in again and it will not accept my password or any others, in fact the account is
