Is it possible to change revenue recognition schedule after rev rec has already started?

Hi all, I have a few q's about AR rev rec:

  1. I know rev needs to be deferred but I don't have the start date yet, how do I create the transaction? Can I still use even contingency and RAM if I don't have a start date?
  2. Is it possible to change the end date after rev rec has started?
