Send emails - Configuration missing

Hallo,

I'm running on Oracle Linux 6 and XE 18c Database. It is more like a small environment for private matters. I now want to send emails via apex_mail.

I'm sorry but I'm a complete novice with this email and smtp stuff.

What do I need to do on Linux and in the database to get this working? Is there any step-by-step solution out there?

So far I was able to setup postfix on Linux. And I can send emails from Linux via GMail account. But I'm stuck with what needs to be done in the database now. I also do not know if this is the correct forum.
