Calculate Costs from Units

With activity with planned units and recource (or role) assigment configured with Rate Source = "Resource" (or Role) and Rate Type = "Price/Unit 1" and the resource with configured with price per unit = 1; The planned Total Cost isnt calculated.

Project settings ->Calulations-> Units and Costs section-> Calculate costs from units = Check.

What am I doing wrong here? Price per unit is simply ignored.
