Should Huge Pages be used for ASM instances
Hi All
I've searched around and can't come up with a real answer for this. I have pretty much always used huge pages for my databases but noticed that my OS was using all it's swap. I wondered if I should also use huge pages in my ASM instances? Do any of you guys have real world experience of the pros and cons?
I know that I will need to set sga_target to stop memory_target being used.
My swap appears to be being used by mainly ASM related processes (shown below)
