Is it possible to change the redundancy of an ASM Diskgroup from NORMAL to EXTERN.

I have a doubt, is it possible to change the redundancy of an ASM Diskgroup that is currently mounted and with data, we need to change the configuration of the current Diskgroup from redundancy (Normal) to (External Redundancy).

My plan is to create a Diskgroup with redundancy (EXTERNAL) and then move my Datafiles, Controlfiles, Tempfiles and Spfile from the current Diskgroup with redundancy (NORMAL) to it. Once the diskgroup with Normal redundancy is completely empty, I proceed to eliminate it. But I would like to know if I can save myself all that work of moving Data from one
