How to setup Project Segment in COA and enable Project Tracking in GL?

Hi Champions,

Our organization is exploring option to track project CIP/expenditure/revenue in GL. We are not using Oracle Projects.


In EBS R12 GL Implementation Guide, it mentioned we could have basic project tracking capabilities and are able to "carries forward project-to-date balances for all accounts, including revenue and expense accounts, even across fiscal years".

We want to perform the "Project Segment" setup but in above steps, it did not mentioned the details on

  1. "How to define an COA Segment be "Project segment", e.g there is no segment qualifier (like "Balancing Segment" or "Natural Account Segment" for Project.
