Can you add new documents after the life event guide is Closed?

Does anyone know if the new document upload process that is associate with the benefit life events allows additional documents to be loaded after the life event guide has been completed? We are currently using the new document upload feature with life events but we are having issues when employees wish to load additional documentation after the guide has been closed. Once the guide is closed, they can no longer add new documents.
