Can I uninstall or upgrade java from my Spacewalk backend db server running Oracle DB 12c?

We have been tagged by our security team as having old and vulnerable java installs on the backend db server we use for our Spacewalk 2.7 server. We have a plan for upgrading the server to OLM 2.10, but in the mean time is there some kind of work around? Does the back end server use java at all or can I uninstall it from the system? I am looking for a temporary fix so I can get a little more time to rebuild the server and db server.
