How to update "Cell [Affected Items.New Rev] is read only" attribute

Agile PLM:

Hi Friends,

we have a requirement to update the Implemented Items Revisions from 3 characters long to 2 characters:

Suppose : Item1 has revisions : A01 , A02,A03 and latest is A04

Need to update the old revisions as well with A1 , A2,A3,A4

I am trying to do through PX by modifying the implemented revision.

I created Modify access(Applies To Affected Items.New Rev) with roles assigned.

Assigned the same roles to PX Handler and person but still the same issue.

It says "Cell [Affected Items.New Rev] is read only", how to update the New Rev field?

if its not possible through PX then from the oracle tables(backend) , how many tables we should update(REV has references)?
