Is it recommended to use ksplice on a DB System?

in EBS on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (MOSC) Question

We have migrated our EBS system to OCI and the database is DBaaS. The OCI documentation mentions yum update for DBaaS but ksplice is mentioned generically and not specifically for DBaaS.

Linux security updates are delayed by versionlock.

Ksplice does not get upgraded after VM creation so our production system has an old version compared to our test systems. We regularly run yum update.

Is it recommended to use ksplice on a DB System?
