rolling database home in EBS

Still running EBS R12.1.3 (19c DB though) and in all other non-EBS environments we are rolling our Oracle_Home as we apply PSU's so new Oracle_Home is created, and patched and then datapatch is run against the database.

We have not been doing this with EBS databases due to a bit more complexity but I am looking into it a bit more just to see if we can standardize and use the same process.

If anyone else is doing this great, I'd like to hear that but basically my questions to the community are:

  • in the new Oracle_Home I don't have a few things that the existing home has like my .env files so I need to copy them in an edit to reflect new directory name
