Using EXTSEQNO when adding a replicat

in GoldenGate, Streams and Distributed Database (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

I am setting up GoldenGate 19.1 to replicate data from Oracle to MS SQLServer and I am thinking in the future I will want to add a new replicat and I don't want to have to start with the original trail file.


It looks like I could use EXTSEQNO to start at a more recent trail file , but documentation says:

EXTSEQNO sequence_number

Specifies the sequence number of the file in a trail in which to begin processing data. Specify the sequence number, but not any zeroes used for padding. For example, if the trail file is \aa000000026, you would specify
