sudo or RBAC on solaris 10 for authenticated scans

Hi, on Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 s10s_u11wos_24a SPARC, has anyone used RBAC to allow sufficient permissions for authenticated vulnerability scans?

Just wondering if the only way to allow access for this is to download and install the sudo package. I am just concerned this is an old package and I would then have to either run the recommended patch set or patch sudo again set to ensure sudo itself is not vulnerable?

How have other members addressed this?
