Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Include back order quantity as available quantity user

Hi,

I am trying to understand what does 'Include back order quantity as available quantity' do.

R42117 -> Processing option -> Process -> Back order quantity as available quantity

Blank = Do not include Backorder Quantity as Available Quantity

1 = Include Backorder Quantity as Available Quantity

I tried couple of scenarios.

Create two sales order (1st with large quantity then 2nd for less quantity) with no availability. hence order went on back order. Then added some qty in secondary location by using P4114. Run the R42117 for 2nd with ' Back Order quantity as available quantity = Blank'

Result - It just release the order without any issue despite not enough overall quantity is available (Overall quantity is negative).
