Configuration required to have Asset Book; but optionally add a second Book when adding an Asset

Hello---

What is the configuration or sequence of steps needed to have all assets being added default to one Asset Book; but occasionally add a second Asset Book?

I tried setting up a BU with two Books and requiring one of the Book; but I am unable to save assets because I get an error indicating I have not added all the Books required for the BU.

I also, tried setting up a BU with one Book and create an Asset Profile with two Books; in this scenario an asset is added with the default Book; but when I try to add a second Book to the asset I do not see a second Book in the Book search list with the add asset component.
