Is there a major difference between SUSE and RedHat?

We are considering moving our Oracle DB 12.1.0.2.0, Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2.1.3.0 from its SUSE Linux 12 to a RedHat Linux 8 operating system. Does anyone know of any reason this would not be a good idea? RedHat shows up on the Oracle compatibility matrix, but I am double-checking if there have been any major issues to consider with RedHat.

Thank you for your help!
