Hi,

we are using R12.2.9.

Quick question on discrete jobs.

Our business has a requirement where sometimes while completing the work order

which uses BOM assembly-components one of the component if not available they wants to replace a components with different similar part.

Once components are pulled from bills users can replace the part which is not on-hand with other similar one.

This change of part was necessary as the part defined in the BOM is not in stock and replace with similar part number.

OR is there a way to set up this in the BOM itself like Alternate or substitute P/N on bill of material
