EBS r12 - how can I find out what is filling up my app server /u01 partition

I know this is a really stupid question, but I am new to admin function and I am trying to figure out what is filling up my /u01 partition on my app server.

The difference between one of my dev servers and my prod server is roughly 50GB of space used on the same partition. The last refresh of this particular server was 6 months ago so that is quite an increase. I know it must be some trace files or log files but I can't find anything of significance in the usual places.

Please help me figure out how to identify the space hogs.
