Technology Licensing on 12.2.10

Hello, 

My company will be implementing R12.2.10 in the months to come.

I wish to know and understand about Technology Licensing on R12 database.

Can you pls clarify the questions below pls or send me any links to clarify.

Do we need Technology license :-

  1. When we create a custom schema on Apps Database. I guess tgis is considered a customisation and we need technology licensing? Can you pls calrfiy 

 2. If I have installed an Oracle Std Edition database on another server. I create a database link on the std edition to link my apps database. Is that considered a customisation?
