Oracle forms application not running in Chrome and Microsoft Edge (wo/ IE compatibility mode)

Hi,

Environment:

Oracle forms application version: 12.2.1.3.0

Oracle database 12c enterprise edition release: 12.2.0.1.0 64bit

Java plug-in: 11.151.2.12

JRE version: 1.8.0_151-b12


Question:

My workplace owns several Oracle forms applications for end user running them via Windows 10 machine with IE11 without any issue. According to Microsoft, Internet explorer will be officially decommissioned from mid-June this year. Naturally we are planning to adopt Microsoft Edge as our default browser later on. We have been verified those applications in Edge with IE compatibility mode on everything seems working properly. However it just stopped running with a security warning without details when we disabled the compatibility mode. The same issue happened when we ran the applications in Chrome.
