Can't login to Oracle Linux 8 GUI after disabling SELinux and enabling TigerVNC Server

This has happened at least three times on at least version 8.2, 8.5, and I think (maybe) 7.9. At the moment I'm using 8.5.

I installed Oracle Linux with standard Oracle Linux 8 security selected. I do a bunch of configuration to the machine per an Installation Guide I have to follow, and have no problem at all. However, when I try to start TigerVNC using systemctl, I get an SELinux error. So, I disable SELinux in the config file, reboot, and finish the VNC configuration. This exact process depends on which version of Linux I'm using.

However, after I reboot after enabling vncserver, I can no longer log into the GUI as my install-created 'admin' user, or as 'root.' On one machine one time, I could log in as root (but not admin) for a while, but eventually even root couldn't log in.
